std replacement for C++

A single-header C++ utility library from Tsoding (rexim) that patches over gaps in the standard library — string_view helpers, a hash map that supports custom struct keys, UTF-8 handling, and println-style formatting. It's aimed at people who want a personal-toolkit grade of utilities without pulling in Boost or writing the same hashmap-with-custom-key boilerplate for the tenth time.

It's a real single header (aids.hpp) you can drop into a project with zero build system integration. It actually has tests — hash_map_test.cpp, string_view_test.cpp, utf8_test.cpp — plus CI running them, which is more rigor than most one-person utility headers bother with. The example set (game of life, cat clone, custom struct as hashmap key) demonstrates real usage rather than toy snippets, and there's a Windows MSVC build path alongside the Makefile, so it's not Linux-only despite being a hobby project.

No documentation beyond a joke README — you have to read aids.hpp itself or reverse-engineer the examples to know what's in the API surface. It's a solo project with no versioning or releases, so 'std replacement' means whatever the latest commit says; there's no changelog to tell you if an update breaks your code. Last push was November 2024, so treat it as effectively unmaintained rather than actively developed. And it's not packaged for any dependency manager — no CMake target, no vcpkg/Conan entry — so integrating it means manual header copying and manual tracking of upstream changes.
