Android unofficial REST Client of 9GAG.

An unofficial 9GAG Android client built in 2014 as a demonstration of that era's Android best practices — card-style feeds, swipe-back navigation, image zoom. The author flags it as unmaintained and kept only for reference. Useful for someone studying pre-Jetpack, pre-RxJava Android architecture, not for anyone who wants a working app or current patterns.

Clean separation of concerns for its time — api/dao/data/model/ui/util/view packages map cleanly to what they do. The custom swipeback package (drag helper, activity base, layout) is a genuinely useful reference for anyone who needs to hand-roll iOS-style swipe-to-dismiss on Android without a library. Bundles a real grab-bag of era-appropriate third-party libs (Volley, Glide, ButterKnife, LeakCanary) so it doubles as a snapshot of the 2014 Android stack.

Uses Gradle 2.2.1 and AGP 1.5.0, both over a decade old — it will not build in a current Android Studio without significant surgery, and the README says so upfront. Ships compiled jars in libs/ (gson, volley, photoview, listviewanimations) instead of Maven/Gradle dependencies, so you can't audit or update those versions, only replace the binaries. Min SDK 14 / target SDK 22 means zero support for runtime permissions, scoped storage, or anything post-Lollipop, and there's no test suite at all — validating any change means manually clicking through the app on an old emulator.
