A pure-JS calendar component library for React Native covering everything from a single month view to agendas, timelines, and infinite horizontal scrolling lists. It's aimed at anyone building scheduling, booking, or date-picker UI in RN and wants to skip writing date-grid logic from scratch.
No native linking needed, so it works unmodified with Expo managed workflow. The marking system (dot, multi-dot, period, multi-period, custom) covers most real-world calendar UI needs without you writing custom day renderers. It bundles several composable pieces (Calendar, CalendarList, Agenda, ExpandableCalendar, WeekCalendar, Timeline) instead of forcing you to build agenda/timeline views yourself on top of a bare grid.
The presence of parallel `new.tsx` implementations alongside the original `index.tsx` in CalendarList and WeekCalendar signals an in-progress internal rewrite, which means two different component architectures and APIs are live in the same package at once. Deep visual customization beyond the theme object means reaching into internal component structure rather than a documented extension API. Timeline and Agenda are noticeably less polished than the core Calendar component, with more open issues around performance on large event sets and iOS/Android rendering inconsistencies. There's no built-in support for recurring events (RRULE), so any booking/scheduling app needs that logic layered on top.
