// the take
A Chinese-language personal knowledge base of notes on database theory and internals, spanning relational, key-value, document, time-series, graph, vector, and distributed (NewSQL) databases. Useful as a study map for developers who read Chinese and want breadth across database paradigms rather than deep API docs for any single system.
The directory structure covers nearly every database category in one place (RDBMS, Redis/LevelDB, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Prometheus/InfluxDB/TimescaleDB, Milvus, TiDB/Aurora/F1) organized as a coherent taxonomy rather than a flat link dump. Some sections go genuinely deep operationally, e.g. the Redis notes cover AOF/RDB persistence, cluster sharding, sentinel failover, and the single-threaded event loop. It mixes original explanation with excerpted reference articles rather than just reposting links wholesale.
Everything is in Chinese with no English version, which limits its audience despite the subject matter being universal. Coverage is very uneven: several major sections (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLServer) are just a README.link stub pointing elsewhere rather than actual content, so the table of contents overstates what's actually written. The license badge (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) and the license text linked in the README (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) contradict each other, so it's unclear whether derivative works are even permitted. Several reference materials are dated 2017-2020, so some of the 'deep dive' content on fast-moving systems like TiDB or Prometheus may no longer reflect current internals.
