InkPageIndicator created by @nickbutcher for Plaid https://github.com/nickbutcher/plaid and backported by me for API 14+ (4.0+)
A small Android widget that recreates the 'ink' page indicator dots from Google's old Plaid app, backported from AndroidX-era code down to API 14. It's for anyone who wants that specific animated dot indicator for a ViewPager without reimplementing Plaid's custom view logic themselves.
Drop-in usage is genuinely minimal — one XML tag plus a single setViewPager call, with custom attributes (dot diameter, gap, animation duration, colors) exposed so you don't need to subclass or copy code to restyle it. The backport work (API 14+) is the actual value-add over just copying the original Plaid source, since the original wasn't meant to be reused as a library.
It's distributed via Bintray/JCenter, which shut down in 2021 — the dependency coordinate in the README will not resolve with a current Gradle setup, so the library is effectively dead on arrival unless someone manually republishes the artifact or builds from source. It wraps the legacy support-library ViewPager, not ViewPager2, with nothing in the repo suggesting AndroidX or ViewPager2 compatibility. No commits since December 2018, no tests, no CI config in the tree — this is a frozen snapshot, not a maintained library.
