NeuralNine/config-files

A collection of my config files.

A personal dotfiles dump from the NeuralNine YouTube channel, covering an Arch/Hyprland desktop setup (Neovim, Alacritty, Waybar, Wofi, hyprlock) plus an older abandoned i3/X11 setup. It's for people who watched the associated videos and want to copy a known-working rice rather than build their own from scratch.

The Neovim config is a real lazy.nvim setup with LSP (mason + lspconfig), nvim-cmp, treesitter, and dap wired together, not just a bare init.lua. The Hyprland config covers the full stack a Wayland rice actually needs — compositor, lockscreen, idle daemon, wallpaper, bar, and launcher all present and consistent with each other. Splitting old_configs from arch_config is an honest way to signal 'this half is dead' instead of leaving stale configs for people to copy by accident.

No README describing what depends on what, which display manager/theme the colors assume, or which keybinds are custom vs default — you're expected to already know this from the video. Zero install tooling: no stow, no symlink script, no Makefile, so adopting any piece means manually diffing against your own dotfiles file by file. Nothing here is original work or reusable as a library/plugin; it's one person's machine state, so value drops fast the moment your hardware, monitor layout, or font choices differ from theirs. The old_configs tree (i3, polybar, picom) is dead weight — it's not marked deprecated in-repo and will waste time for anyone who clones without reading the video description first.
