Cloudflare Terraform Provider
The official Cloudflare Terraform provider, covering essentially their entire product surface — DNS, Zero Trust, Workers, R2, Magic Transit, Stream, you name it. Anyone managing Cloudflare infrastructure as code is already using this or something close to it; there isn't a real alternative for full API coverage.
Coverage is enormous and current — hundreds of resources and data sources tracking the actual REST API contract rather than a community best-guess. CI is genuinely rigorous: acceptance tests against the live API, a dedicated migration-tests workflow for upgrade paths, semgrep scanning, and an automated release-please pipeline. Being auto-generated from Cloudflare's internal schema means new API surface tends to show up in the provider fairly quickly.
It's a black box in the sense that matters most: it's auto-generated from an internal Cloudflare generator that isn't in this repo, so if a resource behaves oddly you can't trace why from the source — you're stuck describing the symptom in an issue and waiting. Community PRs are explicitly not accepted, only used as reference; combined with 887 forks against 1341 stars, that's a lot of people patching around bugs themselves instead of getting them fixed upstream. Auto-generated resources are also uneven in quality — some map cleanly to the API, others carry the API's own awkward shapes straight into your HCL with no smoothing over.
