Elegant Markdown Editor.

EME is a desktop Markdown editor built on Electron and Vue 2, with focus mode, KaTeX math rendering, and export to HTML/PDF. It's aimed at people who want a lightweight, distraction-free writing app rather than a full IDE-style Markdown tool.

Ships prebuilt binaries for macOS, Windows, and Linux via electron-builder, so it's a real installable app, not just a repo you build yourself. KaTeX is vendored directly into the source tree for math typesetting, which avoids a runtime dependency but also means it's frozen at whatever version was copied in. GitHub Gist auto-sync is a nice touch for people who want cheap cloud backup without setting up their own sync.

No commits since December 2022 — this is dead, and Electron apps rot fast as Chromium and Node move on, so expect build failures on a modern toolchain. It's built on Vue 2 with Vuex, both of which are past end-of-life; anyone wanting to contribute is working in a stack nobody uses for new projects anymore. There's no test directory anywhere in the tree, so any change is unverified by anything but manual clicking. Vendoring dependencies like KaTeX and Mousetrap directly into src/ instead of pulling them from npm means security patches upstream never reach this repo.
