Jsonnet library for generating Grafana dashboard files.
A hand-written Jsonnet library for building Grafana dashboards as code, covering most panel types (graph, stat, gauge, table, heatmap) and datasources (Prometheus, Loki, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch, CloudWatch, etc.). It's officially deprecated in favor of grafana/grafonnet, a generated replacement, but is still useful if you're maintaining an existing dashboards-as-code setup built on it.
Wide datasource coverage in one library instead of needing separate plugins per backend. Every component has a matching test under tests/ with a compiled JSON fixture, so regressions in output are easy to catch. The e2e/ directory runs actual Grafana instances via Cypress to verify generated dashboards render, not just that the Jsonnet compiles.
No new changes will be accepted — any bug you hit here is permanent, and the README tells you to migrate to grafana/grafonnet instead of filing an issue. The library is hand-maintained (not generated from Grafana's schema), so it drifts from newer panel types and options as Grafana ships new releases. Two parallel API surfaces exist in the repo (grafonnet/ and the older grafonnet-7.0/), which means picking the wrong import path silently locks you into stale panel definitions.
