Unreal Engine 5 Guide. Learn to develop games for Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch.

A curated-links-style reference guide for Unreal Engine 5, not a code project. It's a long markdown file collecting official docs, plugin lists, YouTube tutorials, and book recommendations. Aimed at beginners who want a single jumping-off point rather than developers looking for actual code or tooling.

Covers an unusually wide surface area — game dev, archviz, AR/VR, photogrammetry, and console-specific dev links all in one place. The plugin coverage (Niagara, Nanite, Lumen, Houdini Engine, Cesium) is genuinely useful for someone who doesn't know what's available in the ecosystem. Console dev sections (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) include the correct partner portal links, which saves time hunting. Gets maintained — last push was June 2025, so links are less likely to be dead than typical awesome-list repos.

There is almost no original content here — it's links to Epic's own docs, Amazon book listings, and YouTube embeds. The single .cpp file in the repo is a getting-started skeleton, not anything you'd actually learn from. Docs links target UE 5.3 but the engine is now on 5.5, so version drift is already visible. Nothing in here that you couldn't find by spending 10 minutes on the official Unreal docs site; the value proposition is thin for anyone past the first week.
