// the take
This is not a library or tool — it's a plain README listing third-party extensions for oobabooga's text-generation-webui, submitted by their own authors via PR. Useful if you run that webui and want to browse what's available for TTS, Discord bots, web search, memory, etc., but there's no code here to evaluate, just links.
It's the single place that aggregates dozens of community extensions you'd otherwise have to find by searching GitHub or the webui's Discord, each with a short description of what it does. The PR-based submission model means the list stays roughly current without one maintainer having to vet every extension's internals.
Zero vetting: entries range from actively maintained (AllTalk v2) to explicitly abandoned forks of abandoned forks (bark_tts, forked because the original author stopped maintaining it, with no indication whether the fork itself is still alive). Installing any of these means running arbitrary third-party Python inside your LLM environment with no security review from this repo. There's no compatibility tracking against text-generation-webui's current API — several entries reference old UI concepts (sd_api_pictures, EdgeGPT) that may silently break on a current install. The list is a flat chronological dump with no categorization by function or maintenance status, so finding a working TTS extension today means reading through every TTS entry and gambling on which one still works.
