A simple Jekyll theme.
A barebones Jekyll blog theme built with Gulp and Stylus, meant for developers who want to start writing without touching frontend code. It bundles the usual blog furniture — tags, a series page, RSS, sitemap, client-side search — in a small footprint.
Genuinely minimal and fast since there's no framework bloat, just static HTML/CSS/JS. The feature set covers what a personal dev blog actually needs (tags, series, RSS, sitemap) without pulling in a CMS. The `initpost.sh` script for scaffolding new posts is a nice touch over hand-writing front-matter every time.
The README itself opens with a flashing warning that it's unmaintained, and the last push was in 2022. It's pinned to Node <11, which means wrestling with an ancient Gulp 3/4 + Stylus toolchain on any current machine — expect native module build failures before you even see the demo. The live search requires manually editing a hardcoded URL in a JS file rather than reading from `_config.yml`. No CI, no tests, and the dependency tree (Gulp, Stylus, jQuery-era plugins) is the kind of thing that throws a wall of npm audit warnings on install.
