Sample Angular application used in the "Angular: Getting Started" course: http://bit.ly/Angular-GettingStarted

Companion code for the Pluralsight 'Angular: Getting Started' course, a small product catalog app built around made-up hardware store items. It ships three folders: a starter to code along with, a finished NgModule-based version, and a port of the finished app to Angular 16 with standalone components. Aimed at developers new to Angular who want a working app to follow along with.

The starter-to-final diff is the useful part. Routing, a product-detail route guard, a service over HttpClient, a custom pipe and a star-rating component all get added in a sensible order, so you can see where each piece lands. The v16 folder is the more interesting one: it shows standalone components and app.config.ts with product.routes.ts, without NgModule wrappers, which is the migration most tutorials skip. The domain is deliberately dull, so the code stays on Angular mechanics rather than business rules.

There is no backend. The 'API' is a products.json file served as a static asset, so nothing here covers real HTTP error handling, pagination, or auth. The README admits the v16 folder does not match the course code, which leaves you reconciling two sets of conventions yourself. Angular 14 and 16 are both out of support now, the tested setup is Node 16.15.1 with npm 8.11.0, and the last push was February 2024, so expect the install to need fixes on current Node. It is a teaching repo and reads like one: useful for a first week with Angular, not a reference for structuring a production app.
