Materials for my Pluralsight course: Angular Routing.

The companion code for the author's Pluralsight course on Angular routing, built around a product-management sample app (APM). Each version comes as a starter and a finished solution, in both Angular 10 and Angular 14, so you can code along or check your work against the answer. It is for people learning how the router fits together, not a base for anything new.

The final app covers the router features that tend to confuse people: feature modules that lazy-load (product, user, message), an auth guard, a guard on the product-edit route, a product resolver that loads data before the detail page renders, and a custom preloading strategy in selective-strategy.service.ts. Starter and final sit side by side, so the diff between them is the lesson. The v14 branch is upfront that the course code and the v14 code diverge, and it names the changes (initialized variables, strong typing) instead of pretending they match.

Both versions target Angular releases that are long out of support, and the v10 install needs npm install --force with numerous warnings before it runs. The v14 branch is a port the course never caught up with, and nothing here covers what Angular added after 14, such as standalone components and functional guards. The last push was November 2023, the duplicated trees (APM-Final and APM-Final v14, and the same for Start) will drift from each other, and the e2e setup uses Protractor, which Angular has since dropped. The only spec files cover two guards, so the tests teach little about routing itself.
