Developer-Y/technical-interviews

★ 1,269 · updated Feb 2024

A link dump for technical interview preparation — articles, practice sites, YouTube playlists, books, and job boards. No original content, just a maintained collection of external resources. Aimed at developers preparing for FAANG-style coding interviews.

- Covers the full interview pipeline in one place: algorithms practice, system design, mock interviews, resume tips, and job boards — saves time hunting across Reddit and HN threads

- Includes some genuinely useful older resources that have aged well, like Steve Yegge's essays and the Palantir blog series, which are harder to surface via search today

- The competitive programming section goes deeper than most similar lists — UVA, Codeforces, SPOJ, USACO, ICPC archives — useful if you want more than LeetCode grind

- Last updated February 2024 but most links predate 2018 — several point to pages that are dead, paywalled, or significantly changed (Facebook Notes no longer exists, some Palantir links are gone)

- No curation signal at all: every link gets one bullet, whether it's a foundational Steve Yegge post or a generic listicle from Recruiter.com. Quantity over quality.

- The job boards section is nearly useless — a mix of outdated aggregators (Dice, Monster, BullhornReach) and region-specific Indian portals alongside LinkedIn, with no context about which are actually worth checking

- It's just a README with no code, no tooling, no structure beyond h3 headers — the repo exists only to host the list, so it offers nothing you couldn't get from a well-maintained bookmark folder
