react-native-app-intro is a react native component implementing a parallax effect welcome page using base on react-native-swiper , similar to the one found in Google's app like Sheet, Drive, Docs...

react-native-app-intro is a wrapper around react-native-swiper that adds a parallax-scrolling onboarding/welcome screen, similar to the intro flow in Google Docs or Sheets. It's for teams building a quick first-run walkthrough in an older-style React Native app and who don't want to hand-roll the parallax math themselves.

The pageArray shortcut covers the common case (title, description, image, background color) with almost no code, while still letting you drop in fully custom View trees with per-child 'level' props when you need something more elaborate. It handles both iOS and Android, including syncing the Android status bar color to the current slide, which is a detail most clones skip. The dependency surface is small - just react-native-swiper underneath.

Last pushed November 2021: it's written with AppRegistry.registerComponent and class components, no hooks, no TypeScript, and almost certainly breaks on the new architecture (Fabric/TurboModules) that current RN apps use. There's no test suite and no CI in the repo tree, so regressions would only surface in production. The 'level' parallax prop is explained only through copy-pasted examples in the README, not documented with actual semantics, so building a non-trivial custom intro is trial and error. It also inherits whatever staleness react-native-swiper has, so you're taking on two unmaintained layers instead of one.
