GrahamCampbell/Laravel-DigitalOcean
A DigitalOcean API bridge for Laravel
A thin Laravel service provider and facade over the official DigitalOceanPHP/Client package, using Graham Campbell's own Manager package to let you configure and switch between multiple DigitalOcean API connections. It's for Laravel shops that want DO droplet/region/etc. management wired into the framework's DI and facade conventions instead of instantiating the raw client themselves.
Actively maintained for years with a real compatibility matrix (PHP 8.1-8.5, Laravel 10-13) kept current across major framework releases, which is rare for a package this small. It delegates almost everything to DigitalOceanPHP/Client rather than reimplementing API logic, so you inherit that client's bug fixes and feature coverage for free. Multi-connection support (named connections with a switchable default) is genuinely useful if an app talks to more than one DO account or token. Has CI (GitHub Actions), StyleCI, and tests covering the manager, factory, authenticator and facade rather than just a config file and a prayer.
Documentation stops at droplet-power-on and region-list toy examples - nothing on pagination, rate limiting, or error handling against the real DO API, so you end up reading DigitalOceanPHP/Client's docs anyway. Only 'none' and 'token' auth are supported, and there's no retry/backoff built in, so transient API failures are entirely your problem. Pulling this in means taking a hard dependency on GrahamCampbell/Laravel-Manager, buying into his manager pattern app-wide rather than just getting DO support. It's a wrapper on top of a wrapper - if DigitalOceanPHP/Client ships a breaking change or a bug, you're waiting on this package to catch up before you see the fix.
