:sunglasses: A curated list of awesome Free Open Source Softwares(FOSS).
A hand-maintained markdown list of self-hostable open-source software, organized by category (ERP, CMS, CRM, monitoring, etc.). It's aimed at developers and sysadmins evaluating alternatives to SaaS products. No tooling, no automation — just a README.
The category taxonomy is genuinely useful and more task-specific than generic awesome lists — grouping by 'what problem does this solve' rather than 'what technology does it use'. Coverage is broad without being exhaustive, hitting the actually-deployable projects rather than abandoned experiments. Active maintenance is evident from the 2026 last-push date. A few less-obvious picks (listmonk, Uptime Kuma, Formbricks) are worth knowing about.
No metadata on any entry — stars, last commit date, activity level, or license are all absent, so you can't tell at a glance which projects are alive without clicking through every link. Several entries are dead or deprecated (Atom editor, Fathom's original repo, Strider CD) with no indication. There's no opinionated take on when you'd choose one option over another in categories with multiple entries (three self-hosted Git options, five CRM options). The repo itself is just a file — no contribution tooling, no broken-link checks, no CI.
